1. Musee de la Castre
A museum located inside a medieval castle standing on the hills of Le Suquet, Musee de la Castre houses Baron Lycklama's private collection, which tells the ethnologic history of Cannes. There are objects and artifacts from archaeological excavations done around the world shown in the museum. Aside from that, there are also ceramics, paintings and antiques displayed.
In, St. Anne's Chapel, a tower built in the 12th century, is also a part of the museum and houses an impressive collection of musical instruments. From there, a beautiful view of Cannes and of the bay can be seen.
2. Eglise Paroissiale Saint Joseph
A church dedicated to St. Joseph the Betrothed (also known as Joseph of the House of David, and Joseph the Worker).

4. Notre Dame d'Esperance
A church standing on the hills of Suquet, Notre Dame d'Esperance brings a magnificent view of the bay and of the city of the modern Cannes. 5. The Old Port
If the view of hundred beautiful yachts amazes you, visiting the old port would be a pleasant experience. Located just below the hill of Cannes old town, the old port, named the Vieux Port can be freely accessed.
6. Vieux Le Cannet
Further up the hills plus a short ride from a bus, Vieux Le Cannet is located. It is a medieval village from where there are good views of the ocean and lovely short walks.
It may be hard to imagine that Cannes was once a tiny fishing village. The city of Cannes indeed has transformed into one of Europe's social hubs with its fabulous and glamorous nightlife, restaurants, etc. And while all that transformation to modern Cannes happens magnificently, it cannot be denied that old town Cannes, still, has preserved its medieval magic.
