The cable car, which was powered by steam-engine in the early 1900s, is Wellington’s transportation icon. Now it’s being replaced by electric-powered ones; but steam-engine cable cars are part of the history and culture of Wellington that’s why the Cable Car Museum was built or shall we say improved to bring back steam-engine cable cars.
