Ferragosto is a national holiday in Italy celebrated every August 15. It traditionally marks the beginning of the vacation, originally attributed to the end of the hard labor in the fields in the middle of summer. It’s otherwise known as Assumption Day, to commemorate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven.

Riesenrad, or also known as Wiener Riesenrad, is a tall Ferris Wheel located at the Prater Amusement Park’s entrance in Vienna. Standing at 212 ft. tall, the wheel is one of the many popular attractions in the area.
